Dr. Arwa Al-Sayed
A Reference Consultant in Implantology
A quarter century of science, practice, and trust — in service of the Saudi patient, and in the training of a new generation of physicians.
Dr. Arwa Ali Al-Sayed is a Saudi consultant in periodontics and dental implants, in active clinical practice since 2001 (25 years of clinical experience). She completed 13 years of specialist training — split equally between Canada (Toronto and Montreal) and the United Kingdom (London) — mastering the most demanding implantology and tissue reconstruction protocols. She holds a Diploma, two Master's degrees, and a PhD in her specialty.
She has united advanced clinical practice with an academic trajectory — Assistant Professor, certified instructor, and ITI Fellow (International Team for Implantology), one of the highest distinctions in implantology worldwide.
She founded and chaired the Saudi Implant Fellowship for three consecutive terms (eight years total), and was honoured with the King Abdulaziz Medal — First Class — in recognition of her scientific contribution. She also serves as Certified Partner for Straumann — the global Swiss reference in implant technology.

Dr. Arwa spent 13 years in specialist training — split 50/50 between Canada (Toronto, Montreal) and the United Kingdom (London) — in the leading clinical schools, under the guidance of an elite of oral surgeons and periodontists. This international background is reflected in every clinical decision: rigorous protocols, evidence-based reasoning, and long-term follow-up.
WHAT THE ITI FELLOWSHIP MEANS
The ITI (International Team for Implantology) is the world's foremost reference in implantology since 1980. Fellowship is not granted by application — it is awarded by peer nomination, after review of the candidate's scientific and clinical contribution. Today, Dr. Arwa belongs to a limited circle of physicians worldwide holding this distinction.
LEADERSHIP & FOUNDING
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Arwa founded the Saudi Implant Fellowship — the first national programme of its kind — and chaired it for three terms (eight years total). Dozens of Saudi physicians who today lead the field of implantology in the Kingdom are her graduates.
KING ABDULAZIZ MEDAL
In 2020, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques awarded her the King Abdulaziz Medal — First Class — among the highest civil honours in Saudi Arabia — in recognition of her scientific contribution and her role in advancing Saudi dental medicine.
ACADEMIC & TEACHING ROLE
Alongside the clinic, Dr. Arwa serves as Assistant Professor and leads annual workshops for dentists in the Kingdom and abroad. Teaching, for her, is a professional commitment — and a natural extension of the responsibility of the consultant.
